Midland
Midland at Western Truck & Trailer

Midland trailers.

Choose how the material moves.

The gate, body and unloading method matter as much as the load. Explore Midland’s gravel and sand-hauling configurations, then talk with Western about the trailer that fits your material and the places you work.

Product guides and example photos describe manufacturer configurations. They are separate from live inventory; confirm the actual trailer’s build sheet and availability with sales.

Explore the lineup

Start at the discharge point.

Compare where the material needs to go, the space available to unload and the way it flows. These are manufacturer product directions; sales can check the specific model and sourcing options.

Aggregate placement & road work

Belly & bottom dumps

Midland separates the TC clam-shell design from the MX cross-gate design. The TC uses tapered sidewalls and a large bottom opening; the MX uses individually controlled dual gates. Compare the gate arrangement with your material and placement work.

Models to discuss

TC clam series · MX cross-gate series · MC series

Check the fit

Does a clam opening or a cross-gate arrangement better suit the way you place material?

Aggregate & construction hauling

TW side dumps

The TW range uses a U-shaped body with a two-way dumping system. The manufacturer lists straight trailers, lead units and train configurations, with different body materials and gauges to suit the application.

TW straight trailers · TW lead units & trains

Check the fit

What unloading space and route requirements will the trailer need to work within?

Rear discharge & bulk material

End dumps

Compare full-frame SLX models with other Midland body and frame configurations. Body shape, steel specification, gate choice and axle layout should follow the material and the receiving site, rather than a single capacity number.

Models to discuss

SLX full-frame · SK & XL series · SL & SX series

Check the fit

Which body and tailgate fit the material, and can the site accommodate rear unloading?

Frac-sand delivery

SandRunner

SandRunner is Midland’s purpose-built sand-hauling range. Its single hopper and clam gate make the discharge opening and receiving equipment central to the specification. Discuss the actual sand, destination and unloading arrangement before choosing a build.

Plan the working configuration

Bring the job to the conversation.

A useful quote starts with the material, the truck and the unloading site. Those details help narrow the body, gate and running gear before you compare price.

  1. Material and flow

Describe the material, density, moisture and abrasion. Include the typical load and how it needs to be placed or received.

  2. Discharge and access

Compare gate opening, body shape and the unloading space. For SandRunner, include the receiving equipment and required discharge clearance.

  3. Truck and route

Bring tractor details, axle configuration and route requirements. US and Canadian references, straight trailers and trains are not interchangeable specifications.

  4. Equipment and timing

List tarp, controls, suspension and other required equipment, plus your location and target date. Sales can check the build and current sourcing options.

Questions before you choose.

Can I request a Midland quote when no units are listed?

Yes. Tell Western about the material, unloading method, truck and target date. Sales can discuss the configuration and check sourcing. Manufacturer examples and historical photos on this page do not establish current stock or a delivery date.

How do TC and MX belly dumps differ?

Midland describes TC as a tapered-sidewall clam-shell trailer and MX as a straight-sidewall cross-gate trailer with individually controlled dual gates. Compare the discharge arrangement with the material and placement job, then confirm the actual model’s specifications.

Does the TW range include train configurations?

Yes. Midland lists TW lead units, straight trailers and super trains. The truck, couplings, axle configuration and route requirements need to be evaluated together; a catalog train example is not a statement that the combination is suitable for every route.

Is SandRunner a pneumatic tank trailer?

No. Midland describes SandRunner as a frac-sand trailer with a single hopper and clam gate. Confirm its discharge arrangement against the equipment at the receiving site. A pneumatic tank trailer uses a different unloading system.
