Commercial Trailer Services
From brake repairs to full electrical diagnostics, our service centers handle the work that keeps your equipment on the road.
Brake Systems
Shoes, drums, hubs, slack adjusters and complete brake kits, plus the air side: lines, chambers and valves. This is the work that fails a roadside inspection, so it is the work we look at first on any trailer that comes in for anything else.
Suspension Repair
Air ride and spring suspensions, axles, hangers, bushings, and the ride-height and alignment work that follows. A trailer that eats tires on one side is a suspension problem, not a tire problem.
Hydraulics & Dump Systems
Cylinders, pumps, hoses, valves and full system diagnostics on side dump and belly dump trailers. A trailer that leaves a windrow in the wrong place is a hydraulics and gate problem, and we chase both: cylinder and gate timing on belly dumps, ram and tub-pivot work on side dumps.
Trailer Wood Flooring
Deck board replacement and full floor installation, in standard lumber or composite depending on the trailer and what it hauls. We also carry the hardwood decking side of the business, apitong and keruing, so a deck job here is not subcontracted. See trailer decking.
Electrical Systems
Harnesses, wiring, sealed lighting and troubleshooting the intermittent faults that only show up loaded and wet. Most of what looks like a light failure is a ground.
General Repairs & Structural Work
Welding and structural repair on tubs, frames, hinges and gates, tarp systems and tarp bows, and preventive maintenance schedules built around your run.

We rebuild dump tubs because we sell dump trailers. Western is the dealer for Ranco, SmithCo, CPS and Manac, and on any given week there are Ranco belly dumps and end dumps, SmithCo side dumps and CPS hopper trailers on the yard — new units on one side of the fence and units in the shop on the other. That is why the tub work, the gate work and the tarp systems are routine here rather than a job the shop has to think about.
Cutting and rewelding a bottom-dump tub, rebuilding a side-dump tub, hanging tarp bows on a belly dump: that is a normal week. An independent shop can weld. A truck dealer's service department knows trucks. Neither of them spends every week inside the same three dump-trailer families we sell.
