Choice Jeeps, Boosters & Flip Axles

Axle equipment is how a 55-ton lowboy legally becomes more: jeeps ahead of the trailer, boosters and stingers behind it, and flip axles that deploy only when the load needs them.

The Jeeps, Boosters & Flip Axles Platform

Choice builds the AX line in single, tandem, and tridem configurations with 49", 55", or 60" axle spacing, fifth-wheel heights from 49" to 54", and hydraulic or manual flip axles — all on the same 25,000 lb air-ride running gear as its trailers, so the combination rides as one system. Rear decks on Choice lowboys come prepped for a booster from the factory.

We stock Choice flip-axle-equipped units when available — check current Choice inventory — and order jeeps and boosters matched to trailers you already run, Choice or otherwise. Ask our sales team what your bridge formula allows.

Jeeps, Boosters & Flip Axles FAQ

Frequently asked questions

A jeep goes between the tractor and trailer to spread weight forward; a booster (or stinger) goes behind the trailer to spread it rearward.

If your loaded combination exceeds axle-group limits under the federal bridge formula, added axles are usually the legal path — we'll run the numbers with you.
