Choice Jeeps, Boosters & Flip Axles
Axle equipment is how a 55-ton lowboy legally becomes more: jeeps ahead of the trailer, boosters and stingers behind it, and flip axles that deploy only when the load needs them.
Choice builds the AX line in single, tandem, and tridem configurations with 49", 55", or 60" axle spacing, fifth-wheel heights from 49" to 54", and hydraulic or manual flip axles — all on the same 25,000 lb air-ride running gear as its trailers, so the combination rides as one system. Rear decks on Choice lowboys come prepped for a booster from the factory.

Frequently asked questions
A jeep goes between the tractor and trailer to spread weight forward; a booster (or stinger) goes behind the trailer to spread it rearward.
If your loaded combination exceeds axle-group limits under the federal bridge formula, added axles are usually the legal path — we'll run the numbers with you.
