The 6" ram piston is used on the ranco bottom dump 6" air cylinder and allows the air pressure to open and close the rod to make the gates on the trailer open.

The 6" ram piston is used on the ranco bottom dump 6" air cylinder and allows the air pressure to open and close the rod to make the gates on the trailer open. This is only replaced when the piston gets marred up due to a damaged barrel or contaminants in the air system.
