RAM - 4" PISTON, DOUBLE ACTION

The 4" air cylinder piston is used on the ranco end dump tailgate lift cylinder, and the ranco end dump tailgate latch cylinder. The piston has seals that sit in the lips of it allowing the cylinder to remain air tight as air pushes into the piston causing the cylinder to open/then bleed off air pressure allowing it to close. The piston is never replaced unless it has deformities along the edges causing the seals to be damaged as the cylinder operates.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to change out the piston in either cylinder; the cylinder will have to be completely disassembled.
