6" HYDRAULIC CYLINDER

The 6" hydraulic cylinder is the heart of the Smithco side dump. The cylinder uses hydraulic pressure from the tractor to operate the tub of the trailer and dump it over to either side. The Smithco side dump uses 2 of these cylinders per trailer. Without the cylinder; the trailer will not dump at all. Trucks must have a wet kit installed in order for the trailer to be dumped over. 

There's 2 options for the hydraulic cylinders on the Smithco side dump; it will be a 5" or 6" cylinder. If your not sure what you have, have the last 8 of the serial number ready and give us a call and we can help you get the correct cylinder for your trailer.
