Doors
In 1958, Western Truck developed an all aluminum door supported by heavy duty stainless steel hinges and door latch hardware. In 2000, we modified our standard door to include a 1/4" solid 5052 aluminum door panel that will never corrode. Our doors are more rugged than ever!
These doors are used on all of our bodies. Double spring door hold backs are standard. (Other hold back options available.) Our doors feature:
Closed cell hollow neoprene seals attached to door frame.
A water tight guarantee.
Automatically adjusting door latches.
An “Over Center” locking system that snaps the door shut.
Recessed, “T” or “D Ring” handles.
Can be built to fit odd shaped openings.
Available with radiused (rounded) or square corners.
Two, three, four, or more stainless steel hinges per door (depending on door size.) Continuous hinge doors are also available.
Rugged .093" thick hinges, 100% stainless with 1/4" hinge pins.
Can be installed with gas/spring door assist cylinders.
Double doors available (one up/one down or one left/one right.)
Keyed alike locks for all doors.
Can be built to fit curved surfaces but curvature must not be on the hinged/lock sides. (This is a custom feature requiring door installation in our shop.)
